Join CI&T as a Senior Backend Developer and help evolve a B2B e-commerce platform serving the alcoholic beverage industry across 30 countries. You’ll work on an end-to-end integration team, connecting partner systems to a global omnichannel commerce platform and helping ensure reliable data flows at scale. This is a customer-facing role covering delivery and ongoing operations, with AI coding agents used daily as a core part of engineering work.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver integrations between partner ERP, CRM, OMS, and WMS systems and the commerce platform
- Own end-to-end data flows, including extraction, transformation, mapping, validation, reconciliation, ingestion, and delivery
- Build and operate integrations for commercial, customer, product, pricing, inventory, order, and fulfillment data
- Improve integration development and operational practices, and deliver well-tested, observable solutions using logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and runbooks
- Support production incidents and hypercare, make technical decisions under pressure, and work closely with partner technical teams
- Lead assigned partner integrations through onboarding, deployment, hypercare, and steady-state operations
- Participate in the 24/7 L3 on-call rotation, with 24-hour shifts rotating daily among engineers assigned to Maintenance and legally required rest periods between shifts
- Use AI coding agents daily and critically review their output
Required qualifications
- Senior experience designing, delivering, and operating integrations between enterprise systems of record, such as ERP and CRM, and downstream commerce or omnichannel platforms
- Strong end-to-end data integration knowledge across REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, event streaming, SFTP and file exchange, middleware or iPaaS, ETL or ELT, and batch processing
- Backend development experience with Java and production-depth experience with Spring Boot, including Spring MVC and Spring Security
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, REST APIs, RabbitMQ or an equivalent message broker, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with JUnit and end-to-end testing
- Strong observability practices, including logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and runbooks
- Confidence communicating with partner technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Ability to work through production incidents, hypercare periods, and customer-visible outages, making sound technical decisions with incomplete information
- Fluent daily use of AI coding agents, with the ability to critically assess generated code
- Advanced English proficiency for technical meetings with external stakeholders
Differentiators
- Experience scaling integrations for global commerce platforms
- A track record of improving integration reliability and operational practices
- Strong judgment in evaluating AI-generated code and identifying flawed assumptions
What we expect
You’ll bring ownership, clear communication, and practical problem-solving to a cross-functional team. You’ll collaborate closely with partner teams and colleagues across the delivery lifecycle, helping build and operate dependable integrations in a fast-moving production environment.
