Join a discovery initiative focused on understanding and documenting the loan origination processes of a leading U.S. non-bank mortgage lender. You’ll help uncover how work currently happens—from application intake through loan closing—and turn complex, often undocumented business rules into clear requirements for product and engineering teams. This is a high-impact opportunity for a proactive Business Analyst who is comfortable bringing structure to ambiguity and collaborating with a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Meet with U.S.-based stakeholders in English to gather and document business requirements and current processes
- Map end-to-end loan origination workflows, identifying gaps, dependencies, and undocumented rules
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria with the delivery team
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early, and help the team address them
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and client-facing alignment
Required qualifications
- Advanced written and spoken English, with readiness for daily communication with a U.S.-based team
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in digital product or software development environments
- Ability to structure complex, undocumented business processes in ambiguous settings
- Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices, including story writing, backlog management, and sprint ceremonies
- Strong stakeholder management, including facilitating discussions, eliciting requirements, and communicating trade-offs
- Self-directed and proactive approach, with a track record of taking ownership
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services, mortgage, or regulated industries
- Knowledge of the U.S. market
- Experience with process mapping and current-state discovery
- Experience supporting Scrum Master responsibilities in lean teams
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
What we’re looking for
You communicate clearly, take initiative, and enjoy turning complex information into practical, well-organized requirements. You’re comfortable working closely with stakeholders and helping a delivery team move forward when the path is not fully defined.
