We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead, implement, and evolve our DevOps toolchains and practices across AWS and Azure. In this role, you will play a key part in building highly automated, secure, and scalable cloud environments utilizing Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, and modern DevOps tooling. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and deliver high-value cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Lead infrastructure automation initiatives and modern DevOps practices.
- Support development teams with a strong focus on automation, quality, and technical best practices.
- Develop cloud applications utilizing serverless architectures, Kubernetes, and event-driven patterns.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps methodologies.
- Apply security best practices for authentication and authorization in cloud environments.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and system reliability.
- Ensure strict adherence to software architecture, testing, and security best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement through technical reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Fluent communication skills in English to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with expertise in AWS and/or Azure, DevOps, infrastructure automation, and software development.
- Deep understanding of modern cloud architectures, including serverless, Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
- Solid experience with CI/CD, GitOps, GitFlow, and tooling such as Flux, ArgoCD, and GitHub.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages, such as Python, GoLang, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience with software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, cloud networking, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices (SDLC, DRY, KISS, SOLID, quality gates, code reviews, pair programming).
- Experience with cloud security, authentication, and authorization protocols (JWT, SAML, OIDC, RBAC, ABAC).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and development (CRDs, operators, controllers) as well as serverless applications.
Nice to have
- Deep knowledge of AWS services combined with a foundational understanding of Azure.
- Experience developing and managing cloud infrastructure using Crossplane.io.
- Knowledge equivalent to the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
